Nothing says fearless wedding more than this fierce styled shoot by Megapixels Media. We loved the way that they incorporated bold colors and a breathtaking bride. We fell in love with the way that they played with the textures of the paint splattered balloons, flowers, and walls. Colors are an important part of wedding design, but textures can take it to the next level.

And don’t get me started on the outfits! Hubba hubba! Just check out that dark green suit the groom is wearing and the absolute perfect dress for the bride! They absolutely shine!

This shoot brought out what we believe most about weddings- to be fearless and love deeply.

Words from the Photographer:

We paired Ruby and Emerald together, two bold contrasting colors together to bring on a dramatic and moody effect. Black and gold were used as a secondary color scheme to help accentuate the mood of the shoot. We wanted the Ruby and Emerald to pop so we chose a venue and decor that would allow this effect with the right natural lighting. For this shoot, we wanted to focus our attention on a bold and natural aesthetic in an industrial chic space with a bride who’s not usually the center of the mainstream media’s attention, a black curvy tattooed bride.

Not only did we focus on bold color science but we also played with different textures. The Habitat at Seya venue has a beautiful dark wooden floor and white brick walls that we accented with a black paint splatter balloons. Large potted tropical plants also decorated the venue along with authentic floral arrangements by The Rogue Petal Co.

The couples outfits were also carefully chosen for this shoot. The Groom wore an emerald tailor made suit from Shaw’s Covenant with gold accents and inserts. The Bride wore a lustrous white gown from Garnish Boutique and a custom crystal crown by Bridal Styles Boutique. She also wore handmade jewelry and hair accessories from J’adorn and a Ruby ring flanked by 2 carat pear diamonds.

Our table was decorated by Aeboni of Plan Accordingly Events and highlighted with healing crystals from Gdemae and hand lettered paper goods by Coffee & Calligraphy. We included 14 local professional wedding vendors to help bring this vision to life and each vendor bought something uniquely made by hand to this event and allowed our couple to feel authentic and fearless.
