Fairy Lights in the Garden with Modern Details and Design

The Inspiration

Some want to feel like a princess and some envision a fairy light wedding wonderland. This bride wanted to take her wedding to another realm. Fantasy yes, but when you think about weddings our brains immediately jump to fairytale princess stories. For this wedding aesthetic they chose a theme a bit smaller, yet just as breathtaking! The best way to picture exactly what this wedding was inspired to be would be to compare it to those small hand made “fairy homes” we created as kids. The moss, lights, small grass and tiny chairs, picture that and well that’s exactly what you’ve got here!

The Design

“Maybe it’s just a dream. Or maybe it’s inside of me.” From the design, to the perfect venue the bride thought about it all! Creating her fairy world came true when the Venue M&D Farm and West Elm created their first look at their outdoor wedding and what seemed unimaginable and created such a fantasy land. With the lights streamed from edge to edge of the outdoor world to brighten and frame a space that wasn’t there before. To the light pink colors and the larger overwhelming trees that made you feel smaller than you really are fitting you into the perfect fairy. Oh and we can’t forget about the overgrown barn that completed the fairy look! The rustic, wood barn added a special delicacy to the wedding, with all it’s charm just putting the cherry on top for the Fairy wedding to come alive!

The Memories

After all the small charm and appeal of this wedding came to an end what was left were memories of those there and pictures for those that were not. Memories that carry on especially through the venue and each detail captured. To truly engage with those who didn’t even have to be there to feel the theme that played that night!

The most amazing set-up I’ve ever seen came to life at this summer wedding featuring West Elm at M&D Farm. Having the privilege to be the first to capture a new set-up at a venue is always an honor and so exciting, but this was above and beyond anything I’d even imagined. When I walked around the barn and saw the main set-up, my eyes welled and I simply couldn’t believe it. It was so beautiful! Beautiful beyond words! M&D Farm and West Elm together, combined forces to design and space with amazing romance, modern details, euro vibes, and a display of absolute perfection! Enjoy, soak it in and be inspired!
