The Love

As Angelica and Melvin shared their vows on March 9th, in the steamy yet beautiful atmosphere of Austin, TX the hearts of those that attended lit up with such warmth. This couple without a doubt had love from all ends in their life and beyond lucky to share their perfect day with everyone who fits in that category. Not to mention the not so typical “venue” that made this couple’s day just that more special. The relationship they held with their Pastor and his wife to allow them to have their wedding in their very own backyard. You could feel the love between the couple and those that surrounded them in the way they smiled, laughed and hugged! It’s the love and traditional friendships that we all aspire to have in our lives especially during this time in our world. The Vazquez pair were happy to have their closest family and friends there to spend this time in intimacy and exchange their vows in front of.

The Community

Culture can really pull everyone together especially through your very own community and in this Austin TX backyard it was prevalent. With the aroma that filled the air between the Mariachi band and the tacos you could really live in the moment of a loving and embracing culture. Hugs distributed all around for the couple and everyone attending to welcome in the new couple and to celebrate their new marriage in their Pastor’s family focused backyard.

Words from the Photographer

There’s something so special about an intimate wedding. The bride and groom only invite the select few that really know the couple and have been an important part of their journey together. Angelica & Melvin chose to start their marriage with a very intimate wedding like this. Their guests were all family and friends from church, and even the venue was the pastor and his wife’s beautiful backyard.

I absolutely loved photographing Angelica and Melvin’s wedding! Not only did I get to capture their evident love for each other, but also the interactions of their tight-knit community. The whole day was extra special because everybody was so genuinely excited for the happy couple! And rightly so, because these two clearly belong to each other!

Melvin was a ball of nerves in the beginning of the day, but everything changed when he saw Angie walking down the aisle. His gorgeous bride took his breath, and his nerves, away!

My favorite part of this wedding was the Mexican and Puerto Rican culture that was poured into the cuisine and entertainment. Those Al Pastor tacos were to die for! The mariachi band added to the festive vibe, they really brought the party with their guitars, vihuela, trumpet and violins! These latin tunes accompanied the bride and groom on the dance floor. It didn’t take long for family members to follow!

All in all, this wedding celebration was a day filled with happy tears and laughter – one I won’t forget anytime soon!
