Oh my gosh! Guys, I am super excited about this freakin’ gorgeous winter wedding with tons of florals! This amazing couple actually helped create EventSlayer by planning their wedding with us and allowing us to interview their process and ways that we could make it easier. Their input was invaluable as we developed EventSlayer and guess what?! They created a ridiculously gorgeous floral winter wedding!

So how did all of this come together?

First, Brad, the groom, reached out to me to help with some of the finer details of wedding planning. He really just wanted some advice on certain things like what vendors should they use, a timeline of events and how to reduce the stress they were feeling while planning. Little did he know that at that exact point in time I was looking for a couple to test out EventSlayer and collaborate with me on making the app user friendly and actually useful for couples!

So, we traded services. They were my go to couple for testing the app and I answered any questions that they had about wedding planning. I actually used all their questions as a template for tips and information that I put (or will put 😉 ) into the app because, in all likelihood, if they were wondering these things, other couples would too!

That is how our year long wedding planning journey began.

I wish I could tell you that all of the planning was silky smooth and nothing went wrong at all, but like all weddings there is a point of stress. For Brad and Michelle, this point was their original venue cancelled! There was only about 3 or so months before their wedding and we had already pretty much finalized all their details.

Thankfully, all the vendors rallied and were able to switch their location to the new one and we hadn’t sent out the invitations yet! Phew!

And, in all honesty, I think the new wedding venue was 100 times better and completely rocked their wedding style! When Day of the Wedding arrived, we were prepared with the timeline, order of events and all the vendors knew exactly where they were supposed to go, what they were supposed to do and when they were supposed to do it. It was a glorious day, silky smooth, stress free and so much fun!

Michelle and Brad wanted an elegant floral winter wedding style with mainly whites and ivory with tons of greenery and white premium flowers with accents of red and blush. They used a lace overlay on their tables for some additional class to the look and rented a wood farm table for their sweetheart table where they were framed by their arch and added large wooden lanterns for an amazing wedding look!

I loved working with these two amazing people on their wedding and helping make their (and my) dreams come true in the process! Check out these gorgeous photos from Amber McWhorter Photography and video from Brennan Whipple Films from their wedding day!
