Girls Just Wanna Have Wedding Fun
We love this styled shoot by Wild Daisey Events because it is just so much fun! There is absolutely no better feeling in the world than having your best friends together and enjoying life before you get married.
Your wedding day is one of the best days. You wake up with your girls, get ready, drink mimosas (at least that’s what I did), and talk about everything. Then you marry your best friend for life. Your girls cry, wishing you the absolute best and know that you’ve chosen the person that you were meant to be with forever.
While this is not going to be the end of your relationship with them, it is one that might start to carry you off into different paths.
On my wedding day, I was in absolute bliss. I was surrounded by my girls (a total of 8 of them!!!) who have been with me through thick and thin. They know the absolute worst of me and the absolute best of me and I am confident that I can be either in front of them and they would not see me any differently.
From my wedding day on, my girls and I are definitely on different paths. Several of us have moved to different states, we’re all working big girl jobs, some of us have found our calling in life, some of us are still on a journey to find it.
While we’re all scattered and on different roads, we are still connected. I talk with them through snapchat, texting, facetime, the regular phone and always we’re making plans for when we can all get together again. Getting married didn’t change the way that I feel about my girls, it didn’t change our friendships, but it was a marker for a different path. And one that I will always look back on and know that it was one of the best days of my entire life because I was surrounded by the best people.
This styled shoot definitely shows the impact that your friends can have in your life and on your wedding day! I wish I had thought of confetti pictures for my girls because it looks like an absolute blast! When your big day comes, be sure to thank your girls by having fun with them in the morning. There will be a thousand things for you to do, your mind is going to be blank with nerves (because that just happens) but if you are surrounded by your best friends- nothing can get you down!
Words from the Coordinator:
My idea of Just the Girls style shoot came from those days when we were young before we really knew what real stress was. Back when the worst thing to happen in our day was we forgot our earrings to match our outfit in fifth grade. I wanted to show the fun side before a wedding. I wanted to show the girls laughing and enjoying themselves. The girls eat brunch and desserts without worries about fitting into their dresses. Showing the girls playing the yard games and taking pictures before all the guests arrive. Just showing no pressure, because life is good.
Enjoy these photos and be sure to use some ideas from the styled shoot on your big day when it’s just you and the girls!
