Keeping it Classy in Philly
Mini golf and Arcade Wedding!
Keeping it classy in Philly:
These days with the average wedding hitting the over 30k mark it is refreshing to see a couple who knows how to focus on the essentials without breaking the bank; the bride Corey and the groom Tim definitely knew what mattered in their wedding: food, fun, friends and photos!
Tim and his boys got ready at the Fairfield Inn & Suites downtown and planned to go to their local dive bar, Dirty Franks for some celebratory toasts.
Corey had a little surprise in store as she waited for Tim at the elevator to get a first look at each other and calm their nerves a little bit. These pictures really show the love these two have for each other.
They then proceeded to finish getting ready and headed to their venue Keystone Mini Golf and Arcade! On the way there they took lots of cool photos around town and even got a picture with Master Chief which anyone who plays video games will enjoy!
Keystone Mini Golf and Arcade is definitely not a wedding venue and looking at the pictures of the venue in its normal state it is amazing how this couple decorated the space to look fun and classy without covering everything in ivory tablecloths. A few banners, string lights, balloons and a colorful backdrop turned this space into a ceremony! Add a classic pizza food truck, colorful homemade cake and tons of donuts and you are set! Did I mention that this venue is BYOB, an 18 hole mini golf course and full arcade?
Having the arcade and mini golf gave the guests a lot more to do than just sitting around or doing the cha cha slide and Y.M.C.A for the 10,000th time! Best of all, the funky backgrounds and interesting items all throughout the venue make for some exciting pictures that best capture the type of people that Tim and Corey are!
Words from the photographer:
Corey and Tim met while working in the Green Corps and continued their relationship long distance until Corey moved in. Tim is a first grade teacher who makes comics of the two of them where Tim is a dog and Corey is a cat. He has made her full books of drawings and sweet sayings. They live in Philadelphia and enjoy walking the city with their dog, George. When deciding on what type of wedding they wanted, they decided on something intimate, unique and fun. Tim got ready at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Philadelphia Downtown because they loved the artwork celebrating Alice in Wonderland . He and his groomsmen went to toast the groom at a local bar called Dirty Franks. Corey got ready at their home with her friends. Corey decided to surprise Tim by standing outside the elevator when he got down to the lobby. She was extremely nervous before seeing him. Corey began to cry tears of relief when she saw him. We moved about the city taking the bridal party and their portraits. During that time we ran into a Halo Master Chief cosplayer and asked if we could grab a few photos with them. Their ceremony was held at Keystone Mini Golf and Arcade with a bright and vivid rainbow theme. All the guests loved playing the games and eating fresh pizza from the food truck.
