Pretty Pastel Styled Shoot
Creating a gorgeous wedding design can be difficult. There are many moving parts to planning a wedding and creating the perfect design. One of the best ways to develop a wedding design is to start off with a theme or set of colors, just like this Pretty Pastel Styled Shoot did.
For this gorgeous Pastel Styled Shoot, they wanted to create a soft romantic and intimate wedding. When you think of romantic weddings, what do you think of? I immediately think of light colors and a soft wedding photography style along with a gorgeous in love couple, of course.
I love in this styled shoot that they chose to incorporate a soft baby blue along with the blushes, peaches and neutral colors. The way the blue balances the feel of the shoot is great and is a perfect contrasting color to the rest of the shoot. When thinking of romance, there are always times when it doesn’t go perfectly to plan- or a blue period in the romantic life. The blue here definitely represents that feeling and makes it a wonderful addition to the color scheme.
When designing a wedding, I always start out with the location. This is because the location can provide wonderful inspiration and each location has different “hidden gems” (like this oak tree) that can make a design pop or influence your design.
After choosing the location, choosing how you want to feel is also super important when figuring out your design. This one was all about a soft romance. They chose colors that best represented the feel of what they were going for- blushes, peaches, golds and a gorgeous baby blue.
After choosing your colors, next is finding materials to making the design work. When figuring out what you’ll need you should think about it in perspective of your guests. Will they be seated at a dinner table? If so, they’ll need plates, water glasses, forks and knives. Will you be having a champagne toast? If so, they’ll need champagne glasses. Are you serving soup? If so, they are going to need spoons. Once you’ve figured out your needs, then you just need to find the items on your list that fit your color theme and that you love!
If you love the way they look, and the way that they look together, you can’t go wrong! It’ll be gorgeous!
In this Pretty Pastel Styled shoot wedding design, I loved the use of the designed charger mixed with the pastel blue napkin folded in a Knot and gold utensils. It really brought out the design they were looking for.
Words from the Photographer:
My vision for this shoot was to use a mix of pastels to make this shoot feel romantic and an intimate feeling. I wanted this shoot to be a mix of classic, romance, & bohemian style. I incorporated the colors; peach, blush, dusty blue, and gold. With the amazing team of vendors, I believe my vision came to life. The large tree in the backyard of the venue is perfect to have a ceremony for your intimate wedding. It was also a perfect location to set up the tablescape and settee for portraits.
The model’s for this shoot were Cassidy Zeiter and Adam Rivers. They are a real life couple and are absolutely adorable. Cassidy was perfect for this shoot and totally understands how a shoot goes because she is also a photographer. They went above and beyond for me at this shoot and I am forever grateful! I was so happy to include a dog into this shoot and Tennessee was wonderful to work with!
