Have you ever wondered what happens after the Wedding? You live happily ever after, of course! I have never seen a styled shoot like this in all my years and am so excited (and a little nervous) to show you!

Why? Because it has a couple  awesome parts to it that really appeals to me.

First, is that it shows an absolutely fierce and confident woman. I love fierce and confident women. Women need to show how freakin’ amazing we are! We run households, businesses and raise children.  We’re literally the deciding factors in how the world is. If we banded together and raised our children in a way that promotes a healthy and strong society then I’m positive that the world would be a better place for everyone.

This after the wedding styled shoot definitely brings out the strength of the woman. She’s powerful, desirable and adorable all at once. And his face shows that he is absolutely entranced by her. Don’t fear your strength, embrace it ladies!

Second, it is all about a strong couple. I’ll let you read the couples love story in a little bit, but I love LOVE. Relationships that are able to go through thick and thin are my jam. I believe that to have a strong relationship there are a few things that you must always work on: Trust, Communication, and Love.

Your wedding is a day that commemorates your love for one another and the pledge to continue on in this life together as one. It’s the beginning and not the end of your relationship. What happens after the wedding is a life together. You fight, you hurt, you love. You deepen your bonds and work together to reach your shared goals in life.

Your wedding is just one day, your marriage is the rest of your life with the person that makes you whole.  Take a look at this couples love story and enjoy the most unique after the wedding styled shoot I have ever seen!

Words about the couple:

Dennis and Meisha have known each other for 30 years and have been married for 20. They met in Brooklyn, NY, while attending the same church when she was just 9 years of age and he was 13.

They had become really good friends over the years. For Dennis, it was love at first sight and he knew that she was a special young lady. He always admired how she carried herself and her love for young people.

Dennis had been praying for God to show him who was meant for him. He said that God had been showing him for years that it was Meisha. He then began asking the older ladies around the church what they thought of Meisha and they all gave their approval of her.

He actually waited for Meisha to turn 18 to ask her on their first date which happened to be her very first date ever. Meisha says, “Dennis was such a gentleman – he bought me flowers, and he didn’t even kiss me until the 3rd date.” She knew then that he was a keeper and says, “he’s been amazing ever since and I grow more and more in love with him each day.”

Prior to asking her on a date, Dennis did things the right way – he asked Meisha’s mother and her close aunt for their blessing to date Meisha; “and we’ve been rockin’ and rolling ever since,” says Dennis.

Dennis went further to say, “Meisha is everything I’m not – she has a big heart and loves young people. I’ve learned to have a big heart and do things out of my comfort zone because I trust her. I love her so much because her love is so pure.”

Meisha and Dennis dated for 9-months, and then Dennis proposed at a gospel concert that they were both singing in. They were married on August 15, 1999.

They are the proud parents of 4 beautiful children – 3 biological children and one bonus son which is Dennis’ nephew.

Their love story continues “After the Wedding.”
