We love this whimsical styled shoot as it brings out the inner child and fun of weddings. When designing a wedding, think about the things that make you happy. Do you love candy, bikes and playing around like kids? This whimsical style could be your perfect inspiration.

Candy Cart

This candy cart is a gorgeous way of including a favor and fun treat for your guests. We have seen many candy stations over the years planning weddings and they always go over well with the crowd. Upping up the design from a regular table with candy to a cart with all the different fun candy options is a great addition to a wedding design.

Colors

In this whimsical wedding styled shoot all the bright colors of yellow, teals, pinks and oranges are beautifully coordinated with more neutral tones of white, grey and light brown. By pairing bright colors with neutral tones you can create a fun atmosphere without overpowering the whole design with color.

Words from the Photographer:

Sometimes you just don’t want to wake up from dreams like this!  The Rose Center venue in Westminster, CA boasts of an eye-catching 2 story lobby, with a clean and wide staircase, with full-length window light at the top landing.  This was the perfect spot to capture our contemplative groom, as he buttoned his jacket and adjusted his tie as he pondered seeing his bride.  Discovering perfect light in the bride’s ready room, I then lingered with our beautiful Lisette, as Tiffany (@louderwithpowder) polished the finishing touches of her perfect makeup and hair.  When all was ready, we took advantage of the light and lines in that lobby area, and had our bride meet her groom halfway up the stairs, for unique bouquet presentation.  (And a little pre-ceremony pda).  The large ballroom had  plenty of space for guest tables, sweetheart table, bar, buffet, and cake/dessert table.  The colors and textures throughout were uniquely eclectic, with our designers bringing florals and plants together, with tones of sage and terracotta.  The adjoining courtyard had sufficient space for a large ceremony area, complete with a stage/platform, on which stood a uniquely shaped altar, which was beautifully adorned with florals and foliage.  The big surprise was the bicycle pedaled candy cart, which was completely stocked with various candies that all guests (and photographers too), would love to dig into.  And yes, I did in fact help myself to the delicious peach jelly treats!  The cart was a yummy and adorable feature and I’m definitely recommending my couples consider adding it to their receptions.  The day’s festivities concluded with a dance at the altar, while green smoke lofted skyward as their background.  And the grand finale literally sparkled, as the couple and guests lit up the night with real sparklers.  Like I said, I didn’t want to wake up.  The team of H&L Lovely Creations continues to make these dreams come true!
